Your Therapist
Founder of Flowing Function

Kat Janderson, PT, DPT, RYT-200
I’m a physical therapist with 17 years of experience helping people understand the “why” behind pain, movement limitations, and body changes. I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2009, and throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to care that looks at the whole person — not just one painful area or one diagnosis.
In 2022, I began advanced pelvic health training, which deepened my understanding of how the pelvic floor connects with core function, pressure management, breathing, strength, mobility, and whole-body movement. In 2024, I also completed my RYT-200 yoga teacher certification, adding another layer to how I support breath awareness, mobility, nervous system regulation, body awareness, and sustainable strength. Together, these trainings shape much of my work — because the pelvic floor rarely functions in isolation, and neither do you.
My own background in weight lifting, running, dance, soccer, tennis, distance sports, and outdoor adventures gives me a deep appreciation for how meaningful movement can be. I love helping people return to the activities they care about, whether that means lifting a toddler, getting back to gardening, running without symptoms, hiking with less pain, or simply feeling more at home in their body.
Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me with my family, chasing my toddler, loving on with my Australian Shepherd, cooking, playing games, or heading out for a hike, run, or lifting session.

About Flowing Function
At Flowing Function, I blend detailed assessment, movement analysis, education, and collaborative treatment to help each person build a clearer path forward. Whether you’re navigating pelvic floor symptoms, pregnancy or postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, bladder or bowel concerns, an orthopedic injury, or a return to a favorite sport or hobby, my goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and more connected to your body.
My Philosophy
My treatment style is evidence-based, individualized, and collaborative. I want you to understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it connects to the things that matter most in your daily life. Sessions are designed to feel approachable and practical, with space for education, problem-solving, movement, questions, and a little laughter along the way. I believe care can honor serious symptoms and vulnerable conversations while still feeling human, supportive, and encouraging.
